Aquatir is made in Russia using some of the most advanced and innovative techniques to create an organic caviar that is second to none. Aquatir uses “milking” and “press” methods to harvest the eggs from the sturgeon. The use of these harvesting techniques in conjunction with special ultrasounding technology allows Aquatir to monitor the egg growth within the sturgeon so that harvesting takes place at the most optimal time for egg production and the safety of the sturgeon.
Aquatir is 100% natural, organic, no growth hormones, no GMO’s, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, no antibiotics. This is real, natural caviar. To be able to accomplish such a feat of providing such a clean and natural product, the company has had to takes many extra measures to ensure the health of the fish. Aquatir employs a full staff of ichthyologists and veterinarians in house to maintain and ensure the health of the fish. They are also have a state of the art medical lab in-house and tracking system so that each fish can be tagged and records can be kept for every significant event throughout its lifespan. All of the caviar undergoes numerous tests to ensure safety and quality standards are met before it is vacuum packed and made available for sale.
The result of all of the hard work and dedication to sustainability are three types of caviar. Sterlet, Bester, and Osetra. Each of these are unique in their flavor, and provide a wonderful pop while leaving a fresh and clean finish on the palate.
The Bester eggs are a tiny bit smaller than the Osetra but larger than the Sterlet. The coloring of the eggs is a dark deep grey and they have a distinctive pop upon consumption. There is a pronounced fruity olive flavor and slight saltiness that pairs well with the natural maritime aroma of the caviar. This is the closest caviar to Beluga that you can get!
How to Store and Handle Caviar
- To preserve utmost quality and freshness, store your unopened tin on ice in the bottom of your refrigerator.
- Keep the tin sealed until you are ready to serve.
- Though caviar can be stored unopened in your refrigerator for up to four weeks, it should be consumed immediately upon opening.
